This article reviews the impact on how to view their professional life project in a group of health students during confinement for COVID-19 and in the face of the new post-COVID-19 normal. We analyzed data from 1,879 young people, aged 18 to 24 years. For the information collection, a questionnaire was built using the Google Forms tool and distributed through email and the WhatsApp platform. The multivariate logistic regression analysis revealed that, living in an inadequate family environment, considering that COVID-19 is a risk to exercise their future profession or that it has been a mistake to study a career in this area, seem to be associated with the new way in which health students perceive their professional life project during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is important to implement measures that improve the physical and mental health conditions of future health professionals in the face of the new post-COVID-19 normal.
