Formas de inicio en la prostitución en menores Latinoamericanas

Este artículo, sustentado en entrevistas con 106 mujeres de México y Centroamérica, tiene como objetivo analizar los factores que conducen a las formas de inicio forzado y no forzado en la prostitución juvenil. La presente investigación fue de tipo descriptivo-correlacional con base en sus objetivos y cuantitativa por su enfoque analítico y tipo de análisis de datos usado. El tipo de instrumento utilizado fue la entrevista individual y se empleó un muestreo intencional. Concluimos que el inicio temprano se asocia con formas forzadas, mientras que tener un mayor número de padres ausentes se asocia con formas no forzadas. El número de hermanos, la edad cuando se tuvo el primer hijo y el orden de nacimiento fueron independientes de la forma de inicio en la prostitución. Por otra parte, vivir en un hogar donde están presentes los dos progenitores se asoció a un inicio forzado en la prostitución.
